Miller
Levi Ward Miller passed
away on Monday afternoon, October 11, 2010 surrounded by his
family at UIHC in Iowa City, after a long battle with Duchenne
Muscular Dystrophy.
Levi was born August 26, 1991 to Dennis “Denny” and Nancy (Bonnett)
Miller in Pella, Iowa. Levi attended Twin Cedars Community
Schools. He graduated on May 16, 2010 and was taking classes at
Indian Hills Community College.
Levi was a computer gamer, Hawkeye football fan, sci-fi fanatic,
U.S. military war and history junky, and food network junky,
getting mom to try new recipes. Some of Levi’s favorite TV shows
were Big Bang Theory, NCIS, NCIS:LA, Stargate SG-1, Stargate
Universe, Hawaii-5-0, and Burn Notice. He loved his family,
especially all of the little cousins that would sit on his lap
and try to drive his chair and his cats and doogs. Levi enjoyed
watching the Hawkeyes, Sooners and Steelers play football,
vintage Mopar muscle cars, especially the Challenger, Charger,
and Cuda.
Levi is survived by his parents Dennis and Nancy Miller of
Bussey; one sister Nicole (Laremy) DeGroot of Rose Hill;
grandparents Ward and Arlene Bonnett of Bussey, Ila Miller of
Urbandale; and his great grandmother Vera Wilkins of Mount Ayr.
Levi was preceded in death by his brother Zachary Miller; and
grandfather Everett Miller.
A Celebration of Life will be at 10:00A.M., Thursday, October
14, at the Trinity United Methodist Church in Albia, with Pastor
Dale Schoening officiating. Burial will follow services at
Pringle Cemetery of rural Bussey.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday at the Winfield Funeral
Home in Albia from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M., with Levi’s family
present.
